…the Project This is the doorway to a collection of essays, each examining a specific element of flawless execution and high engagement. I am not an academic, I am a practitioner. While certainly necessary and of value, this is not the place for annotated research. Other practitioners’ perspectives, assessments and application tools are regularly highlighted. A quick-hitter structure is driven by the nature of our work and our lifestyle. We do not have huge chunks of discretionary time. We live on bytes. Most topics are stand-alone. You don’t have time to read Tolstoy-length volumes, and I don’t have time to write them. Stuck in an airport for a couple of hours? Need food-for-thought on a project? Dial a topic in, and do some good in the spare moments you have. See the Main Topics pages. As they are completed, thumbnails of white papers will be added, with links to blog posts and lengthier white papers when done. This way, you can find what interests you and drill deeper where you choose to.
...the Content Flawless Execution targets key hot buttons in business and industry. The Home Page describes the focus, the Main Topics page summarizes the content. A little bit about the approach: · Dual Perspective: I have been both a driver and a do-er, in both operations improvement and people development. This is important as there is sometimes an organizational disconnect that gets in the way of flawless execution. Sometimes it is crucial to be bi-lingual. · Double Vision: focus on both process and people to achieve excellence; · Application: without results, what’s the point? However, you won’t find workshop materials here. Sorry, I can’t give it all away! · Universality: providers of tangibles or services, any business or industry, any size…the concepts and approaches apply.
…the Practitioner My career has been all over the place, from operations to OD and back again, from do-er to leader and back again. I’ve pulled and grown a good deal from quality stints with two global players, two of the most recognized and respected brand names in their respective markets. I am currently doing my part to reduce the world’s addiction to fossil fuels via harnessing the power of the wind. I’m a student and practitioner, I study and apply this stuff. and interact with others who do the same. I am committed to making a difference. Some of my experiences : Process Improvement: the ISO9001 and Baldrige management system models, process management and improvement, six sigma and lean. People Improvement: strategy, alignment and goal-setting, change management, culture change, engagement, leadership and skills development, performance management and communication systems.
